In observance of the 4th of July, we will be closed. We will reopen on Friday, 05 July 24 at 12pm. Have a wonderful 4th of July and see everyone this weekend.
Key Notes:
1st year Anniversary coming up on Monday, 08 July 24. We will be having a live band (The Wisecrack Band) from 5-8pm. We could not have made it this far without the community surrounding us and spreading the word. We want to thank everyone by giving 20% off all glasses of wine on this special day.
Bugling Elk Vineyards will be in Woodland Park for the ‘Vino & Notes Wine Festival’ on Saturday, 03 August from 11am to 5pm. Come enjoy the day with us and share some spectacular wine with your friends and/or family.
Bugling Elk Vineyards will be in Palmer Lake for this years ‘Palmer Lake Wine Festival’ on Saturday, 14 SEP 24 from 12 to 5pm. Last year we had a blast and could not believe how many folks attended this wonderful venue. Looking forward to seeing all the folks that have not been able to make it down to our Winery.
Mark your calendars because our 2nd Annual Grape Stomp is going to be on Saturday, 28 SEP 2024 from 12 to 5pm.
Our Cabernet Doré and Cabernet Doré (Whiskey Barrel Aged) has been doing really well up to this point but we’ll be sending our Traminette and Marquette to this years ‘Colorado Governors Cup'’. We just bottled our new batch of our Velvet (or because of an error, ‘Vevlet’) Red Blend and I’m sure it’s going to go just as fast as the other two batches we’ve bottled this season.
If you are interested in having an event at our facility please reach out directly to Shawn Kauffman @ 719-494-5236. He’ll be able to answer questions and make possible suggestions that tailor to your event.
Bugling Elk Vineyards and Winery was established in 2018 by Shawn and Alexis Kauffman. Shawn was in the Army and served as a Special Forces Operator who retired after 26 years. They initially planted over 1400 Malbec grape vines in the Spring of 2018 hoping to produce a high-altitude grape that rivals with those coming from Argentina. They will continue their endeavor in maturing their grapevines over the coming years, while also focusing on establishing their winery and tasting room which will be opened to the public in late Spring 2023.
Wine Varietals
Come try our many wine varietals from a lovely white to a very dry red all of which are lovely on the pallet
Grape Culture
The Kauffmans are hoping to continue building a more pronounced grape and wine culture in Fremont County which they came to love while stationed in Germany. Being around grapes, producing wine, and sharing a glass of wine has always been a great way to spend quality time with friends and family. We hope you enjoy our wine with your friends and family.
Let’s meet up in real life to share a wide variety of our wine selection!
